nagios-plugins-extra

A set of extra nagios plugins, including templates for pnp4nagios. Checks included:

check_apachestatus.pl

Checks the Apache worker status via the server-status interface (written by De Bodt Lieven)

check_bind.sh

Checks the bind server status (no. of queries, split up by query types, etc). Written by Mike Adolphs

check_dnsbl.sh

Raises an alert if a the IP is listed on one of the popular DNSBL (written by Damon Tajeddini)

check_entropy.sh

Watches the available entropy on a system (written by me).

check_fail2ban.sh

Returns the number of rules in the given Fail2Ban IPTables-Chain (written by me).

check_fw_conntrack.sh

Checks the iptables conntrack table (written by an unknown author)

check_gentoo_portage

Checks the gentoo portage tree and outstanding GLSA's on a system (written by Hari Sekhon)

check_mem.sh

Watches the system's memory consumption (i think its written by me, but i'm not sure!)

check_mysql_status.sh

Reports the values of several MySQL status variables (same as above - i'm not sure who has written this)

check_traffic_proc.py

Reports the traffic based on values of /proc/net/dev (yeah, that was me!).
